1. The main thing i think ethically pushes some boundaries is the fact that the participants had to be deceived. Sometimes it is necessary to alter the participants thinking. 2. Although the participants were deceived a little bit, Burger did use random selection and worked to make sure the participants were debriefed afterwards in order for them to be fully aware of what they are apart of. 3. The participants were allowed to leave at any point. Burger did pay them, but they were allowed to leave and keep the money if they wished.
